Collection: ROD HUBBLE - oil on linen
New Mexico native, ROD HUBBLE, is a seasoned veteran of landscape painting in oils, working en plein air often, which compliments his major studio works. Self taught, HUBBLE has a distinguished career spanning over four decades.
HUBBLE has painted over three thousand beautiful landscape paintings all graced with sensitivity and depth of feeling. His work is included in prestigious corporate, public and private collections, including the New Mexico State Capital Collection in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Horatio Alger Association in Alexandria, Virginia.
Featured numerous times in Southwest Art Magazine, art books and other publications, Hubble's work will be showcased this year as a cover for New Mexico Flora. Hubble has completed a plethora of commissions, including a plein air work of the Rio Grande Gorge's Taos Overlook Property for the Trust for Public Land.
In addition to having been an art gallery owner on Canyon Road-Santa Fe, Taos, and Farmington, NM, HUBBLE was also a professor of Fine Arts at San Juan College, and currently instructs a few private students.
