RYAN STEFFENS

NOTABLE STONES & QUARRIES FOR RYAN STEFFENS’ SCULPTURES

GRAND CANYON RED ONYX, BLACK CANYON ONYX, and VERDE CANYON ONYX
These fine grain and high polish onyx come from a quarry owned by Henry Ford before the Depression. When Ford was making high-end gearshift knobs for his luxury automobiles, he used these stones. Before it was owned by Henry Ford, the quarry was speculated by Bucky O’Neill, one of Teddy Roosevelt’s original Rough Riders during the Spanish American War.
